Emergencies come in all shapes and forms and can cause very little damage or can be absolutely devastating.

Local Emergency personnel and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone right away. The best way to help protect you and your family is to be prepared before disaster strikes. We encourage you to:

Since its founding in 1881, the American Red Cross has been the nation´s premier emergency response organization. Their website is a valuable resource of information about preparedness.

CitizenCorps was created to help coordinate volunteer activities that will make our communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to any emergency situations. Their website is an excellent resource.
